About Us

Since 1987 the Mudslinger has been a fixture in mtb racing and the Corvallis Community and the Northwest. Started by a local group of mountain bikers (Randy Pratt was the official ring leader) and cyclists, this event started out small with only the first person to cross the line to mark times down for the rest of the 20 or so people competing in 1987. I moved to Corvallis in 1990 and in 1991 co-produced the Mudslinger with Randy Pratt until I moved to Bend in 1996 when Jim Fisher took over the Mudslinger. I moved back to the area and after a 3  year absence moved the Mudslinger to Blodgett in 2001 and continue to work with local community groups. In 2009 we raised over 5,000 towards community and trail support statewide and in 2011 over 8000.00, and hope to do even more in 2012 with the support of local, state and federal agencies and countless hrs of volunteer support with continue to bring new adventures to cyclists around the northwest. Over my 20 years or Mountain biking and other outdoor activities I have come to enjoy putting on events and scouting new adventures to make my passion yours. My goal is to get more people in the outdoors competing and or just having a good time either on the trail and or road, raising some funds through volunteers at my events and making an event more of an experience. I have put on events for over 17 years and this years, and with my wife andi and my 3 girls will support and take you to new levels of fun and some pain also. So get outside and enjoy this great state of Oregon and I will see you on the trail in 2012.

Mike
