    Gravel Cycling is taking any bike and riding off the pavement, primarily on gravel roads. Many of the roads in Oregon were either paved for logging or built up with a solid base and gravel for commerce, and now recreation on public and some private land where allowed. Explore more! 

  • Yes, anyone with a passion for connecting to others who enjoy the outdoors is a perfect fit for the sport and our events! This does require a bit of training to take on some pre-season effort to be strong enough to ride the 30-40 miles on the shorter loops we offer.

  • Yes!

  • The latest gravel bikes since 2020 offer both disk brakes and also as newer versions are being offered wider clearance for the fork and chainstays for larger tires. A good hardtail mountain bike works well for those that have that as an option.

  • The short answer is no, as we mark the routes every 5 miles with mile markers on the longest course and offer online tools to use with your Garmin or wahoo device to load the route for navigation. 99% or more stay on track each year
